McKinley retired their previous flu campaign fall of 2024 and rolled out Never Miss a Memory. The goal of this campaign is to motivate students to get their flu shot by tapping into the fear of missing out on college memories because of getting the flu. This campaign slogan was created through the sandage project, an advertising class at the University of Illinois that focuses on developing real-world campaigns for campus and community groups.
Once the campaign slogan was decided on, I illustrated this idea by using items and photos highlighting important college experiences such as spending time with friends, sporting events, and graduation. I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to design this campaign.
The flu campaign is one McKinley’s most predominant campaigns and has proven successful as 7,000+ flu shots have been given so far.
